David Webber is an artist and educator living in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Webber received a BFA from Tufts University in Medford, MA and School of the Museum of Fine Arts, in Boston, MA. His MFA in Electronic Integrated Arts was received from New York State College of Art & Design at Alfred University in Alfred, NY. Webber is an Assistant Professor of Art at Coe College where he teaches video, film, sound, installation and interactive art. As an artist, Webber works primarily with time-based media and interactive installations. At the moment he is developing customized audiovisual performance instruments utilizing galvanic skin resistance and capacitance proximity sensors. In his spare time he creates analog synthesizers and makes electro-acoustic music.
